About:
This project focuses on archiving audio files donated to CHIBS by Professor Jeffrey Hopkins (Emeritus, University of Virginia). By digitizing analogical (magnetic) tapes provided by Professor Hopkins and other scholars of Tibetan Buddhism, these precious audio files are preserved. Partly funded by the National Science Council and directed by Prof. William A. Magee, this project was first launched by CHIBS for one and a half years, and handed over to Dharma Drum Buddhist College (DDBC, currently DILA) to continue the development of digital database for research and teaching purposes.

Authentic oral transmissions of teachers from various Tibetan Buddhism schools which virtually consists all research topics on Tibetan Buddhism, ranging from traditional Buddhist philosophical topics, Tibetan history to Tibetan medicine, etc.
